A Simplio3D Case Study
SocksFactory, a Polish knitting factory, needed a 3D sock configurator for its new websites that would serve three different markets. The challenge was to create a multi-language tool that allowed customers to select sock types and fabric colours, upload their own designs, and share projects. For a planned second phase, they also required user accounts, an integrated 2D design tool, and e-commerce checkout functionality. They turned to vendor Simplio3D for a solution.
Simplio3D implemented its Enterprise plan, creating a custom front end with a 3D viewport. The solution featured UV mapping for customer artwork, project sharing via unique URLs, and integrations with Stripe and PayPal for checkout. In the second phase, a 2D editing tool was added. The results for SocksFactory included a self-service design tool for customers that launched successfully in three languages, with orders completed directly within the application. Simplio3D delivered an evolving product that allowed the factory to continue adding new features post-launch.
