SocksFactory, a Polish sock manufacturer, needed a sophisticated 3D product configurator for its new e-commerce websites. The company required a multi-language solution that would allow its customers to design custom socks by selecting types and sizes, choosing colors, and uploading their own graphics, along with sharing their projects via a unique URL. For the vendor Simplio3D, the challenge was to build this advanced tool with plans for a second phase including user accounts and a 2D editing tool.

Simplio3D implemented its Enterprise plan, utilizing its built-in 3D viewport and Firebase for project sharing. The solution featured UV mapping for custom graphics and integrated Stripe and PayPal for payments. The result was an easy-to-use configurator, available in three languages, that successfully allowed customers to design their own socks directly on the website. As a result, SocksFactory gained a powerful sales tool, with Simplio3D continuing to help implement additional features like a user account module.
