Testing Leads to Increased E-Newsletter Signups

Pocono Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) partnered with Simpleview after launching a new website and URL and needing to grow its e-newsletter database with a cleaner, more effective subscription list. To support this goal, the CVB expanded digital marketing efforts and began using Distribion for its email program while looking for better ways to measure what was and wasn’t driving sign-ups.

Simpleview evaluated the e-newsletter funnel, used heatmaps and click maps to identify distractions, and tested changes on key pages. By removing top-level navigation from the sign-up page and making the newsletter widget more prominent on the Things to Do page, Simpleview helped drive a 21.4% increase in form completions and a 480% increase in sign-ups on that page, with results based on more than 5,000 visitors and 95% statistical significance.
