Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with Simpleview to refresh its dated website and align it with a new Newark brand built around events and things to do. The bureau needed a stronger digital presence to highlight the city’s accessible experiences, neighborhoods, local personalities, and adventure opportunities.

Simpleview developed the new NewarkHappening.com site using insights from extensive brand discovery and research, with “happenings” and event content driving the homepage, navigation, and overall design. The results were dramatic: monthly traffic grew from about 2,000 visits to 17,000 by summer 2014, site visits increased by more than 1,000%, page views rose over 1,200%, and the site also began ranking well for competitive NYC hotel searches.
