Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau (Hawaii VCB) needed a new digital asset management solution after its legacy cumulus database system became difficult to maintain and its existing vendor was closing. The organization also required a fast migration, intuitive access for more than 12,000 external users, and support for custom workflows, multilingual use, and complex permission structures. Simpleview’s Barberstock platform was selected to meet these DAM needs.

Simpleview implemented Barberstock to migrate users and assets, create separate internal and external libraries, set up custom download workflows, and place Terms & Conditions throughout the system. The solution also supported Japanese content and a custom login experience. As a result, Hawaii VCB has surpassed 60,000 downloads in a year, organized more than 14,000 images and 700 videos, and saved significant staff time previously spent on manual asset handling.
