Explore Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau needed a flexible way to create branded, interactive maps that could support a range of destination marketing efforts across its website and campaigns. Working with Simpleview and its Map Publisher product, the team wanted an easier way to showcase points of interest, listings, and custom map points on pages that would appeal to both visitors and locals.
Simpleview implemented Map Publisher to power interactive maps for the “Summer of Glass” microsite, a River Arts District landing page, and a blog post, allowing Asheville to pull CRM listings, add custom points, and apply campaign branding and colors. The result was a highly useful mobile-friendly mapping experience that helped promote local galleries, museums, studios, and tours, and the campaign was notably successful, with 2/3 of partner participants not previously working with the DMO.
