Visit Pittsburgh, the official DMO for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, worked with Simpleview to refresh its brand and redesign its website as a way to overcome common misconceptions about the city. As part of the effort, Visit Pittsburgh used the timing of its rebrand to better showcase Pittsburgh’s true character beyond its steel heritage.

Simpleview’s Destination Immersion helped shape the website redesign by sending the creative team to Pittsburgh to experience the city firsthand, which led them to rebuild the original concept around local details and a more authentic visual style. The new VisitPittsburgh.com featured a vibrant design with subtle city-inspired elements, and results included increased performing arts sales through the “On Stage Now” widget and average user engagement of more than three minutes on the site.
