How SimpleTexting Powers Youth TimeBanking’s Organization

Youth TimeBanking (YTB) is a nonprofit organization in New Jersey that helps young people connect with their communities by earning opportunity credits for service activities. YTB needed a simple way for members to record their volunteer time and activity details without relying on paper forms or a complicated process, so it turned to SimpleTexting.

SimpleTexting provided YTB with a texting-based workflow that let youths submit their minutes and a short description of each activity by SMS, while the organization used bulk reminders, two-way messaging, and demographic questions to keep participation on track. SimpleTexting’s email-forwarding feature was then connected to Microsoft Power BI so YTB could automatically collect, organize, and analyze the data. The result was improved reporting compliance, easier tracking of program progress, and more time for YTB to focus on community impact.
