How Unbounce, Inc. Onboards Their macOS Fleet

Unbounce, a fast-growing landing page and conversion marketing platform, needed a fast, secure, touchless way to deploy Macs for employees across multiple offices and remote locations. To streamline macOS onboarding, the company worked with SimpleMDM, using Apple DEP, Apple VPP, Munki, AWS CloudFront, and related tools to reduce hands-on setup and give users a ready-to-work device from the start.

SimpleMDM helped Unbounce automate enrollment, bootstrap initial configurations and software, and then apply role-specific settings and app packages based on the employee’s department. The process created the required accounts, installed core tools, secured access to the Munki repository, and presented a branded DEPNotify experience so users could follow setup progress. As a result, Unbounce achieved a largely touchless deployment process that leaves Macs fully configured and ready for immediate use, though the case study does not provide numeric performance metrics.
