International Hockey Federation (FIH), the international governing body of field hockey, needed a modern digital experience ahead of Hockey World Cup 2018. FIH wanted a scalable, flexible, GDPR-compliant website that would improve user engagement, usability, discoverability, and content management while reducing reliance on developers. Simform helped them reimagine the web platform with a more powerful online presence.

Simform delivered a headless CMS and component-driven React front end, supported by AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation with Jenkins, server-side rendering, progressive web app features, and extensive testing. The new site launched on time before the World Cup, improved performance significantly, and helped FIH increase traffic and repeat readers; time to first render dropped from nearly 8 seconds to about 1 second, and the site handled over a thousand visitors during the final with zero-downtime deployments and lower licensing and maintenance costs.
