FreeWire Technologies, a U.S.-based mobile EV charging company, needed a scalable way to manage its growing fleet of mobile chargers and the cloud back office behind them. As demand expanded across new cities and use cases, FreeWire needed reliable software to support fleet operations, charging requests, billing, service delivery, and customer apps while maintaining near-zero downtime.

Simform built the cloud and mobile platform supporting FreeWire’s Mobi charger fleet, using Azure and AWS IoT, microservices, streaming services, message queues, and a polyglot SQL/NoSQL architecture. Simform also improved mobile app performance with MVVM/MVP, optimized geolocation accuracy, and implemented CI/CD automation for safer releases. The result was a scalable charging-as-a-service platform used by brands like Walmart, Uber, Volvo, LinkedIn, and BellEnergy, with infrastructure designed to support less than 1 minute of downtime per week.
