Dulsco, a UAE-based services company with over 12,000 employees, partnered with Expo 2020 to support a 4.38 km2 site that saw some 24 million visits. Facing overflowing bins and limited collection hours, Dulsco sought a more sustainable, cost‑efficient waste management approach and engaged Simfoni to source an alternative solution—Simfoni-sourced solar-powered compacting bins with real-time fill‑level sensors.

Simfoni supplied solar-charged compacting bins (up to 7x capacity) with fill-level software and helped procure them via alternate supply routes to avoid COVID-related delays; Dulsco deployed a three-stream system (landfill, recyclables, organic) and routed waste to its facility. The Simfoni solution cut fuel and labor costs, delivered $820K in labor savings, achieved a 4X reduction in man hours, and helped Dulsco win CPO 100’s 2022 Technology Excellence Award.
