Statoil, through its asset-management arm Statoil Kapitalforvaltning, faced fragmented in‑house systems, heavy reliance on spreadsheets and manual processes, and rising operational risk across front- and middle-office workflows. To consolidate and automate operations for roughly EUR 10 billion in assets under management, they selected SimCorp and implemented SimCorp Dimension to replace point solutions and streamline trading, settlement and control processes.

SimCorp delivered an integrated SimCorp Dimension platform (including Asset Manager and Compliance Manager, with plans for Order Manager) that consolidated records, increased straight‑through processing and stabilized operations. The result: roughly a 50% reduction in spreadsheets/manual work, multi‑month uptime windows, the launch of seven UCITS funds in 2016 and the ability to expand business without adding FTEs, plus vendor support for Solvency II compliance — all delivered by SimCorp.
