A SimCorp Case Study
NÜRNBERGER, one of Germany’s largest independent insurance companies, faced growing complexity in its investment portfolio and tighter regulatory reporting requirements that outgrew its home‑built systems. In a long-term partnership with SimCorp that began in 2002, NÜRNBERGER set out to create a “single source of truth” using SimCorp Dimension and later complemented this with the SimCorp Data Warehouse, SimCorp Business Intelligence and other SimCorp modules.
SimCorp implemented an end‑to‑end solution—expanding SimCorp Dimension across front, middle and back office, deploying the Data Warehouse for standardized regulatory and management reporting, adding Global Sanctions Monitoring and Asset & Order Manager, and moving reporting to SimCorp Business Intelligence. The result was the elimination of front‑to‑back reconciliation and manual interfaces, a significant reduction in data‑manipulation risk (helping meet BaFin/MiFID II requirements), faster insight generation and more consistent, auditable reporting across the group.
