Nordea Savings & Asset Management, part of Nordea, was looking to reduce operating costs while handling rising business volume and complexity across its global investment operations. The company needed a way to centralize and standardize processes, improve transparency, and support growth with lower incremental costs, using SimCorp Dimension as its wall-to-wall IT platform.

SimCorp helped Nordea implement a standardized, centralized operating model across back-, middle-, and fund accounting functions, supported by 20 KPIs and a product cost model for better cost control. The result was a major efficiency gain: settlement STP rates improved from 85% to around 99%, back-office productivity increased from 1,100 to about 1,700 trades per employee per month, and Nordea reduced costs while managing greater complexity and higher volumes.
