San Diego County faced slow, paper-heavy processes that forced residents to visit county offices to complete and deliver forms like change-of-address and homeowner’s exemption applications. Seeking better customer service and greater efficiency, the county piloted SIGNiX’s e-signature service (5,000 change-of-address forms) to eliminate in-person signing and streamline access to services.
SIGNiX delivered a state-approved, secure digital-signature solution with multiple identity-verification options and mobile access, enabling quick public adoption. The county expanded the program toward 100,000 annual documents; SIGNiX helped reduce the homeowner’s exemption process from 16 steps to 2 and is projected to save San Diego County more than $225,000 per year in postage, printing and filing, in addition to significant staff time savings.
