The PalmBeach County faced a sudden inability to notarize marriage licenses in person due to COVID-19 social distancing rules and needed a reliable remote online notarization solution. After an unsatisfactory experience with their initial provider, The PalmBeach County selected SIGNiX and its Remote Online Notarization (RON) platform to provide a safe, virtual way to serve residents.
SIGNiX implemented a web-based, mobile-friendly RON solution, getting PalmBeach staff trained and seven notaries live in less than a week without additional hardware. The SIGNiX platform enabled more than 2,000 remote marriage licenses, cut a 2–3 month waitlist down to days, reduced courthouse crowding, and significantly increased productivity and public safety.
