MD Consents, which operates fertilityconsent.com and serves over 20 fertility clinics in the UK and Ireland, needed a cost-effective, secure e-signature solution it could integrate into its portal to meet HFEA regulations around confidentiality, anonymity and bespoke clinic workflows. The clinic-facing challenge was to provide robust informed consent with legal evidence of identity, a comprehensive audit trail, long-term signature validation, and an API-driven, customizable solution that avoided sending forms via unsecured email.

SigningHub was integrated into MD Consents’ cloud portal via a bespoke dashboard and per-signature pricing model, providing tablet-based electronic signing, page declarations to evidence understanding, PDF/A export, embedded timestamps and OCSP-backed long-term validation (up to 50 years). The SigningHub solution cut consenting time from as much as two hours to about 20 minutes, freed nursing time, reduced costly form errors, and delivered verifiable, non-repudiable signatures and audit trails for both clinics and patients.
