Szczecin cuts street lighting energy and maintenance costs by up to 70% with Signify

The city of Szczecin aimed to enhance its attractiveness to investors and tourists while becoming a safer and more eco-friendly city for its citizens. To meet this challenge, the city secured funding to replace its outdated street lighting with a modern system. They partnered with vendor Signify for a solution.

Signify implemented a connected LED lighting system using nearly 5,000 Philips Luma luminaires, with a portion managed by its Interact City software. This solution allows for remote control and monitoring of individual lights, providing fault notifications and detailed energy usage data. The system delivered by Signify resulted in energy and maintenance cost savings of up to 70%, significantly contributing to the city's smart city goals.
