Kronospan, a leading manufacturer of wood-based panels, faced the challenge of reducing energy consumption and limiting electricity costs at its production site in Germany. Signify implemented a smart LED lighting solution using Philips GentleSpace LED highbay luminaires with sensors and CoreLine recessed panels for offices. This system, controlled via the Interact platform, uses real-time data and flexible zoning to drastically reduce unnecessary lighting. The project resulted in a 72% reduction in lighting energy consumption, projected savings of €1.72 million over 10 years, and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
