Gull Valley Greenhouses boosts winter tomato production with Signify’s 100% LED solution

Gull Valley Greenhouses, a customer of Signify, faced the challenge of being unable to supply fresh tomatoes during the dark winter months. To capitalize on local demand, they sought a solution to enable year-round production.

Signify implemented a full Philips LED lighting solution, combining LED toplighting and interlighting to provide a total light intensity of 204 µmols/s/m2. This installation allowed Gull Valley Greenhouses to achieve a drastic increase in winter production of Beefsteak, Cherry, and TOV tomatoes, enabling them to offer a plentiful supply of fresh produce throughout the year.
