The City of Aurich in Germany sought to modernize its street lighting as part of an urban redevelopment plan. They partnered with vendor Signify for a connected lighting solution.

Signify implemented its Interact City connected LED street lighting and lighting asset management software. This allowed city officials to monitor performance and manage all lighting assets remotely from a single dashboard. The project resulted in annual cost savings of €250,000 and a reduction of 659 metric tons of CO2, with the investment paying for itself in just six years.
