Botany Group reduces energy use with Signify's GrowWise smart spectrum

Botany Group, a horticultural customer, wanted to reduce energy consumption in its all-electric cucumber greenhouse without compromising on crop growth or light levels. To address this challenge, they worked with vendor Signify and implemented the Philips GrowWise smart spectrum system.

Signify's solution automatically adjusted the lighting spectrum based on real-time sunlight conditions, prioritizing energy-efficient spectra. This allowed Botany Group to significantly reduce its electricity use. The cultivation manager reported that the cucumber plants looked exceptionally strong throughout the cultivation period as the system optimized for energy efficiency.
