Bejo Zaden doubles growing hours per day with Signify

Bejo Zaden, a leading vegetable seed breeder, faced the challenge of a time-consuming breeding process that typically took 10-15 years to develop new, more resistant seed varieties. To speed up this process and meet high market demand, they partnered with Signify for a lighting solution.

Signify implemented its Philips GreenPower LED production module Dynamic and the Philips GrowWise Control System. This provided Bejo Zaden with full light control per growth phase, allowing them to use dedicated light recipes for each crop. The results included achieving multiple crop cycles per year instead of one, stronger and more vigorous plants, and better root development, significantly accelerating their breeding program.
