Municipality of Haarlemmermeer streamlines 50 e-forms with Signicat eID Hub

The Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, a large public administration body in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of efficiently connecting its numerous digital services to various mandated electronic identities (eIDs) without creating a complex and unmanageable technical infrastructure. They sought a solution to allow citizens and businesses to log in to e-forms using DigiD and eHerkenning, and turned to Signicat and its eID Hub service to prevent this "spaghetti" of connections.

Signicat implemented its eID Hub, which acts as a single routing facility connecting the municipality's digital services to all required eIDs. This solution streamlined the login process, ensured compliance with the Digital Government Act, and removed the need for the municipality to manage separate connections. The implementation was a success, handling an estimated 30,000 login attempts per year. The Municipality of Haarlemmermeer reported that Signicat's technology and support were "just perfect," providing a flexible and effective solution.
