Turner International, the global media division of Turner, faced significant challenges in distributing and producing content across more than 200 countries. Their complex environment, involving U.S.-produced and locally created content, was hampered by limited bandwidth and incompatible file transfer methods between international offices, which choked networks and slowed collaboration. The solution involved standardizing on Signiant's products, specifically Media Shuttle for secure accelerated transfers by individuals and Signiant Flight for automated delivery to cloud storage. This allowed Turner to accelerate content simultaneously to multiple global locations, replacing inefficient data links. According to Turner executives, Signiant's technology was a key enabler, providing the acceleration and automation needed to leverage internet connections and cloud capabilities, which reduced infrastructure costs and funded more content creation while moving toward a scalable, cloud-based future.
