Sim’s Media Shuttle portal improves workflow and client services during production of Syfy’s Krypton

Sim Digital’s Workflow Services team, led by Jesse Korosi, supports dozens of scripted projects across multiple global locations and was struggling to move ever-larger camera masters and deliverables quickly, securely and in a client-friendly way. With shoots spread from Serbia and Belfast to Los Angeles and remote vendors worldwide — and daily camera files often in the terabytes — Sim needed a fast, auditable, and brandable file-transfer solution that could handle varied formats and tight turnaround windows.

Sim implemented Signiant Media Shuttle, deploying branded, permissioned portals (on-prem or cloud) and Signiant’s accelerated transfer technology. For Syfy’s Krypton, a dedicated “Krypton” portal enabled secure, high-speed exchanges between on-set dailies, VFX vendors and LA finishing, reducing upload/download overhead, improving collaboration and delivering a “white‑glove” client experience. The result: faster turnarounds, cleaner workflows, strong client praise, and Media Shuttle becoming Sim’s centralized, trusted hub for post-production I/O.
