Signiant to Power Accelerated News Delivery Workflow Automation System for the European Broadcasting Union

EUROVISION, the European Broadcasting Union’s premier content-distribution network serving 72 member broadcasters and up to 200 sites, needed to move from linear satellite feeds to faster, more secure file-based news delivery. The challenge was to enable rapid, reliable sharing of large editorial packages across a geographically dispersed network while reducing manual steps and avoiding bandwidth congestion.

EBU selected Signiant’s Managers+Agents and Workflow Automation Engine to power its new File Exchange Platform, deploying a private-cloud solution with two active data centers that integrate with existing scheduling systems. The automated, centrally managed workflows accelerate, prioritize and secure push/pull transfers, control bandwidth and remove many manual tasks—resulting in faster, more controlled news exchange, improved security and reliable delivery of critical content across the EUROVISION network.
