Premier Media Group Moves to File-based Delivery with Signiant

Premier Media Group (PMG), Australia’s leading sports producer and broadcaster and co-owner of FOX SPORTS channels, faced an escalating tape-based content supply chain problem—receiving roughly 4,000 hours per year on magnetic media plus diverse global inbound feeds—and needed to replace manual, FTP-style workflows with a scalable, tapeless solution that integrated with its non-linear production environment.

PMG selected Signiant’s content supply chain management platform to automate peer-to-peer file delivery and replace tape. The deployment uses Media Agents for large providers and a Media Exchange web app for smaller partners, tying automated QC and smart workflows into inbound and outbound transactions. The result: significantly reduced tape handling and manual processing, faster, more reliable content exchange across FOX/Sky/News partners, and a single, scalable platform for production, promos and marketing.
