Encompass UK Selects Signiant File Movement Software to Support Growth of European Network Playout Facility

Encompass Digital Media, a global provider of broadcast and transmission services for more than 400 television channels, expanded its London playout facility to support significant new business and needed a way to receive secure, time-critical material from its worldwide clients. The challenge was to scale operations quickly while eliminating bespoke scripts and heavy reliance on engineers, and to meet ever-decreasing timeframes for getting new channels to air.

Encompass deployed Signiant Managers+Agents, using its Workflow Designer and Automation Engine to create reusable workflow templates (including transcoding and watermarking steps) and to schedule jobs via triggers or API calls. The installation was fast and painless, delivering automated, consistent file movement and management, faster channel onboarding and reliable, secure transfers that support the facility’s growth and tighter time-to-air requirements.
