DigitalFilm Tree - Customer Case Study

DigitalFilm Tree is an LA-based post‑production facility (founded in 1999) that serves theatrical films and scripted and unscripted TV—including shows like Ted Lasso—by delivering dailies, VFX, color and finishing services. Uniquely, the company uses original camera RAW files throughout post, which requires moving 5–12 TB of footage daily (sometimes 3–6 TB per show day) to collaborators around the world within tight windows (8–12 hours or up to 24 hours in some workflows).

To meet that need DigitalFilm Tree adopted Signiant Media Shuttle as a backbone for remote workflows, leveraging accelerated transfer, security, portal branding and full use of its 100 Gbps internet bandwidth. Media Shuttle lets DITs upload to branded portals with automated notifications, enabling seamless global access to original camera files, eliminating transfer bottlenecks, increasing throughput during the pandemic and giving creative teams more time to make decisions without sacrificing image quality.
