Case Study: Seven Network achieves secure, high-speed content exchange and cost savings with Signiant

A Signiant Case Study

Preview of the Seven Network Case Study

Australia’s Seven Network Installs Signiant for Secure, High-Speed Transfer of Digital Content with Affiliates and U.S. Distributors

Seven Network, Australia’s most-watched free-to-air television network, needed a more efficient way to move growing volumes of digital content after regulatory changes enabled expanded multi-channel delivery. Existing methods — satellite links, digital video networks, FTP and physical tape shipments — were capacity-limited, labor-intensive and cumbersome for distributing promos, long-form programming and news between capital-city stations, regional affiliates and U.S. partners.

Seven implemented Signiant as a unified, enterprise-wide content exchange platform, deploying 23 Signiant agents across its Australian stations, Los Angeles bureau, affiliates and Yahoo!7. The solution replaced legacy transfers with secure, high-speed delivery and a journalist upload portal, enabling fast replication, reliable disaster-recovery transfers and direct delivery to U.S. distributors — reducing labor and distribution costs while increasing transfer volume, flexibility and operational visibility.
