Arqiva Ushers In a New File-based Broadcast Playout Workflow Powered by Signiant

Arqiva, a leading broadcast media services and infrastructure company, faced the challenge of ingesting and delivering content in multiple formats and languages without time-consuming manual intervention. Handling high volumes of files from global sources for customers such as BlackBelt TV required better visibility, speed and control to ensure assets arrived intact and ready for playout.

Using Signiant’s Managers+Agents private‑cloud file movement and workflow engine, Arqiva automated content transfers, interrogated its database to route known assets into storage or transcoding and handled unknown items via metadata-driven processes. The result was faster 24/7 transfers (e.g., accelerated LA-to-London delivery for BlackBelt TV), fewer errors, reduced operator workload, improved throughput and the ability to scale and extend services like VOD/IPTV with greater efficiency and control.
