Transforming business to better support students and teachers

NSW Department of Education needed a better way to centralize scattered information, understand its IT estate, and create clear technology transition plans to support students and teachers across a vast education system. Working with SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX, the department aimed to refresh its digital strategy and improve business and IT decision-making.

SAP Signavio helped unify business process information and, together with SAP LeanIX, provided a consolidated view of the department’s IT landscape and the impact of proposed changes. The result was lower IT spending through faster identification of duplicate functions and misaligned processes, plus stronger business cases for change and better support for strategic decisions.
