Redocumentation of the process and enterprise architecture

Wessels+Müller AG (WM Fahrzeugteile) is a medium-sized wholesaler of vehicle parts, tires and garage equipment with a sophisticated IT landscape that supports ERP and logistics to enable 24-hour delivery. The company needed an integrated, day-to-day usable documentation of business and IT processes—especially clear mapping of dependencies between processes and systems—to improve operational transparency and consistency.

With consulting support from conspective, WM implemented Signavio Process Editor using BPMN 2.0 plus WM-specific meta-model extensions and a centralized dictionary, and adopted the Signavio Business Transformation Suite (Process Manager, Workflow Accelerator, Process Intelligence). The result is a comprehensive, easily navigable process architecture with consistent terminology that clarifies process–IT dependencies and simplifies IT operations, maintenance and everyday use.
