Becker Büttner Held Consulting AG (BBHC) is a German consulting firm for energy and infrastructure clients with offices in Berlin, Munich and Cologne. Faced with the need to model, optimize and cost processes in a way that was easy for all staff and customers to understand, BBHC struggled to design and connect content-linked processes across multiple locations and to involve external experts who didn’t have tool accounts.

BBHC adopted the Signavio Process Editor — a collaborative, BPMN 2.0-based workspace with annotation and subprocess support — to include customers and remote contributors directly in process design. The result was greater transparency and confirmability (clear deadlines and communication paths), successful implementations such as a gas-balancing process, no open questions from clients, and ongoing use of the intuitive editor across projects.
