A SAP Signavio Case Study
GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, founded in 1881, is a global supplier of systems and components for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, with €4.7 billion in revenue and about 18,000 employees. To deliver on a five-year strategy for sustainable, profitable growth, GEA needed to simplify and standardize highly heterogeneous processes across roughly 200 legal entities, consolidate 67 disparate ERP systems in 60 countries, and create full transparency and a single source of truth for processes and data.
GEA implemented the SAP Signavio portfolio to document, model, analyze, and collaborate around business processes, orchestrating a dual transformation of BPM and the ERP landscape. The company published 643 business processes, put 17 legal entities onto a new process framework, built a strong global process community, and established one source of truth and end-to-end transparency across the BPM lifecycle.
