EVH Driving Process Excellence in Procurement with Data-Driven Insights

EVH GmbH, a municipal utility in Halle, Germany and part of the Stadtwerke Halle group, provides electricity, natural gas and district heating to the region. After introducing a new ERP system, EVH launched a pilot to monitor and standardize its procure-to-pay process across the group, aiming to compare target vs. actual workflows, improve resource use and reduce costs.

Using SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub, Process Intelligence and Process Manager, EVH implemented data-driven process monitoring that exposed unexpected variants and avoidable loops, clarified procurement rules and improved data quality. The pilot produced a 30% reduction in change rates, a 20% drop in deletions and cancellations, and about €35,000 in annual savings, while establishing a roadmap and monthly KPI reporting to drive further process excellence.
