EDEKA faced the challenge of capturing and coordinating business processes across its organization during a comprehensive SAP implementation, making clear requirements and consistent system mapping essential for both customizing and rollout in the business units. The company needed a way to document workflows, link activities to SAP transactions, and support training while maintaining a single, coherent view of processes.

EDEKA uses Signavio Process Manager to model processes in BPMN and link each activity to entries in SAP Solution Manager and the corresponding SAP transactions, while an RWD tool records SAP-system workflows for training. This combination provides lightweight process collection and coordination, improves alignment between documented processes and system implementation, and maintains a consistent, holistic overview across the landscape.
