E-Government processes for the cantonal administration based on eCH-standards

The Justiz-, Gemeinde- und Kirchendirektion (JGK) of the canton Bern, responsible for spatial development and canton–community relations, needed to document e‑government processes according to eCH‑0073 and eCH‑0074 and to collect functional requirements for new applications. Their challenge was to find a modeling solution that supports these eCH standards and can be deployed quickly so process work could start without delay.

JGK implemented the Signavio Business Transformation Suite—using the Signavio Process Editor together with Process Manager (Process Editor + Decision Manager), Workflow Accelerator and Process Intelligence. The Process Editor proved easy to set up and handled the eCH‑standards, enabling rapid process modeling; as a result JGK could efficiently document processes and capture the required application specifications.
