Case Study: American Cancer Society exceeds fundraising goals with SignalWire Events

A SignalWire Case Study

Preview of the American Cancer Society Case Study

How the American Cancer Society used SignalWire Events to surpass their fundraising goals

The American Cancer Society Southeast Region, which relies on events to meet fundraising goals, faced a major challenge in 2020 when COVID-19 restrictions prevented it from holding its annual Cattle Baron's Ball gala in person. With a virtual event required for the first time, the team needed a way to recreate the energy and community feel of its signature fundraiser. SignalWire helped provide the event technology through SignalWire Events.

Using SignalWire Events, the American Cancer Society hosted a branded virtual gala with multiple themed rooms, VIP lounges, and easy room-to-room navigation for attendees, sponsors, speakers, and performers. The event drew 400+ attendees and 27 sponsors, exceeded the organization’s annual fundraising goals by 10%, and was successful enough that the Southeast Region planned to use SignalWire for future events as well.
