CAUCA, a multi-service center in Quebec that handles 9-1-1 emergency calls, 3-1-1 non-emergency calls, and municipal alert messaging, needed a reliable and flexible communications platform that could scale with high call volumes. As the organization grew to serve more than 100 cities and 1.7 million citizens, it looked for a trusted solution to support emergency dispatch communications and mass notification without overloading its existing system.
SignalWire provided CAUCA with Voice services to power its 9-1-1 and 3-1-1 call centers and to send prerecorded emergency and municipal alert messages to thousands of citizens at once, along with SMS for two-factor authentication and code validation. With SignalWire, CAUCA can place 4,000–6,000 calls for alerts, support more than 100 Canadian cities, and quickly launch multiple applications through a developer-friendly dashboard.
