Coates Group faced the challenge of modernizing over 5,000 Samsung digital displays across more than 1,000 QSR locations in Canada without causing service disruption. The project was complicated by multiple device firmware versions, legacy hardware, and the constraints of a global pandemic. To solve this, Coates Group partnered with signageOS to power a seamless transition to its Switchboard CMS.

By leveraging the signageOS platform, Coates Group implemented a hardware-agnostic solution that integrated across multiple Samsung Tizen versions. This allowed for a fast and stable rollout, transitioning up to 428 locations per month at peak with zero downtime. The signageOS solution resulted in a future-ready network with full remote monitoring, firmware update capabilities, and consistent customer experiences across all drive-thrus and dining areas.
