The Marlowe Theatre updates to Signagelive software to promote information and events to customers

The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury faced an out-of-date digital signage system that could not cope with the high‑demand media and customer communications required for a 1,200‑seat venue. Working with Redfortress Limited, the theatre chose Signagelive and deployed Signagelive software on Chromebox hardware and Samsung integrated screens to replace the legacy on‑site server solution.

Signagelive’s cloud platform replaced 17 legacy media players and added 13 new 22" screens above auditorium doors, using templates and schedulable zones to display show information, warnings and marketing. The Signagelive solution has become integral to communications for over 400,000 annual visitors (screens active seven days a week, 09:00–22:30), enabling instant remote updates, removing physical posters, future‑proofing the estate and improving customer experience; minor Chromebox power issues have been rare and are being investigated but the system has been stable.
