Signagelive provide Digital Signage platform to enhance the customer experience at Birmingham Museum Trust

Birmingham Museums Trust, which operates across 9 venues in Birmingham, wanted an easy-to-use digital signage system for redevelopment work at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. They needed a content management platform that could be managed by multiple users from different departments and used to share information such as opening times, ticket prices, sales messages, events, and catering offers. Signagelive was selected as the digital signage platform, with Samsung Tizen screens installed at the new entrance, shop, and Planetarium queue line.

Signagelive, working with Solutions AV, delivered a solution using Signagelive-supported Samsung Tizen panels plus bespoke widgets and Marketplace templates for calendar integration and noticeboards. The result was a branded, easy-to-update system that reduced the need for content rework and allowed existing data sources to be repurposed. Birmingham Museums Trust said the rollout now includes eight remotely managed screens across multiple departments, easing pressure on staff and creating a platform that could be extended to other sites.
