436% increase in bookings and 400% in members

The University of the West of England (UWE), a large public university in Bristol, faced a manual, Excel-based booking process for its Center for Music with no self-serve option, high call volume, and only about 400 members making appointments by phone or email. To solve this, UWE adopted Sign In Scheduling’s online scheduling platform in late 2018.

Sign In Scheduling implemented an online booking page, class bookings, automated email/SMS reminders, PayPal payments, advanced reporting, and AI-powered smart messaging, enabling self-service and rapid scaling. As a result UWE grew members from ~400 to over 2,000 (400% increase), increased appointments by 436% (from ~2,000 in 2019 to over 11,000 in 2022), saved 1,815 admin hours (~227 working days) and £26,800, achieved 61% student-initiated bookings, reduced no-shows to 6%, and has now booked over 30,000 appointments to date.
