The customer Siemens Healthineers needed to migrate its computer tomography (CT) monitoring platform to Azure Cloud to increase scalability and speed up data processing. They engaged vendor Sigma Software, along with other partners, to assist in this complex, multi-year project.

Sigma Software migrated the platform's Usage Analytics component to Azure, which included setting up near real-time analytics and ETL pipelines. The solution involved developing a unified template for pipelines with Azure Databricks and Spark, enhancing the Databricks layer for better performance, and configuring data visualization dashboards. This work helped Siemens Healthineers reduce time-to-detect for device issues and ensure optimal maintenance costs.
