Case Study: Navis achieves unified, data-driven maritime cargo operations with Sigma Computing

A Sigma Computing Case Study

Preview of the Navis Case Study

Navis Improves Its Maritime Cargo Operations Management

Navis, part of Cargotec Corporation and a leading provider of maritime software for cargo operations and vessel performance, was struggling to get timely answers from legacy BI tools. Large volumes of data and data queues left business users dependent on a limited number of data experts, preventing the BYOQ (bring your own questions) approach from scaling. To address this, Navis evaluated and adopted Sigma Computing’s cloud-native analytics platform to give business teams direct access to their data.

Navis deployed Sigma Computing across finance, customer support, sales, product management and operations to merge cloud and on‑premises sources, build customer 360° views, track support trends, refine sales compensation and integrate IoT data. The result: unified access to data (covering roughly 800 million container shipments annually), faster and more complete answers for customer service, improved cross‑team collaboration, and the ability to scale self‑service analytics so business experts can make data-driven decisions across the maritime ecosystem.
