How HashiCorp removed 80% of its dashboards to drive adoption through Sigma

HashiCorp, a company that provides enterprise applications for DevOps teams, needed a better way to manage analytics after dealing with fragmented data sources, unclear alignment, and a legacy BI environment where roughly 80% of dashboards were no longer actively used. The team wanted a tool that would be easy for business stakeholders to adopt and help them trust that the data they were seeing was current and reliable. They turned to Sigma Computing and its Sigma BI platform to simplify access to data and reduce barriers to entry.

With Sigma Computing, HashiCorp was able to migrate quickly, setting up the platform in about one sprint and improving time to value for stakeholders. The company reported much higher active user adoption than its incumbent tool, better visibility into critical dashboard usage, and greater trust in up-to-date metrics. Sigma Computing also enabled Python in the BI workflow, helping HashiCorp spend less time on extracts and data-source issues and more time on analytics, governance, and expanding self-service to additional functions like finance and go-to-market.
