A Sigma Computing Case Study
Clover, a Fiserv-backed point-of-sale technology company, relied on a Snowflake data warehouse but faced an unsustainable ad hoc reporting queue because most business users lacked SQL skills. To give nontechnical teams direct access to data, Clover chose Sigma Computing’s self‑service analytics platform — a spreadsheet‑like interface that connects directly to Snowflake and supports familiar Excel formulas.
By deploying Sigma Computing to about 75 users across seven departments, Clover enabled Excel-style exploration of billions of rows and converted worksheets into visualizations and dashboards without DRA intervention. The result was a 90% reduction in time to data insights (advanced requests now average ~15 minutes), a dramatically smaller ad hoc queue, broader data literacy, and faster, self‑service decision making across the company.
